From 6 to 9 December 2016, CNRFID took part through Connect+ Event to Convergence, a major event dedicated to Industrie du Futur (Factories of the Future) and gathering MIDEST and Smart Industries. French President François Hollande inaugurated the event on December 6th. Throughout these 4 days, Smart Industries and Connect+ Event gathered 8023 visitors, 200 exhibitors on a 8000 square meters space. Connect+ Event, an event dedicated to Professional Connected Objects, was punctuated with networking meetings, conferences about IoT, Connect+ Awards ceremony, and demonstrations of IoT applications by Connectwave.

“Connect+ Event was quite a reach event” explains Jean-Christophe Lecosse, Director of CNRFID, “Exhibitors attending Connect+ Event are absolutely delighted with their participation. The synergy with Smart Industries is a true success and makes fully sense : the complementarity between our areas of expertise and interest is more than confirmed. This first edition was very promising and encourages us to renew the experience for the 2017 edition”.

Axem Technology, Avnet Silica, Balluff, Biolog Id, Dipole, Editag, EM Microelectronic, Embisphere, Etikouest, GreenCityZen, HID Global, IER, Intellinium, Neopost Shipping, Nexess, NXP, Orange Business Services, Paragon, Picdi, Solable, STid, STMicroelectronics presented their solutions and applications within Connect+ Event.
Located at the heart of the demonstration zone, Connectwave, an experimentation and usage platform dedicated to Professional IoT, hosted the Innovation Space of the event. With the support of Région Provence Alpes-Côte d’Azur, the Innovation Space Connectwave gathered 10 applications :

Networking and business meetings at Connect+ Event


Networking was a key topic at Connect+ Event, therefore CNRFID favored business meetings throughout the event.
– December 6 : cocktail gathering major companies from aeronautics, spatial and energy.
– December 7 : business lunch with a participation of over 40 buyers and suppliers of IoT solutions.
– December 8 : networking cocktail organized by Euroméditerranée on Connectwave Innovation Space.

On December 7, CNRFID announced, with the support of Direction Générale des Entreprises, the launch of a working group “IoT and privacy” during a cocktail organized by Orange Business Services.
